Is NTSO active during the summer?
While the lounge and its amenities are available to be used by members during the summer, there are no socials or events planned during the summer.

Does NTSO have summer dues?
NTSO does not have summer dues, but to be considered a member and have use of the lounge and amenities, dues must have been paid during the previous spring semester or for the next fall semester.

Who is a Non-Traditional Student?
A non-traditional student is a student whose life experiences separate him/her from the traditional student. Life experiences include, but are not limited to:
- A delay in post-secondary education immediately after high school graduation
- Returning student/transfer student
- Currently or formerly married/domestic partnership
- Parent or guardian
- Have children or other dependents
- Military veteran
- Work full time
- Commutes from outside of San Marcos

Does Texas State offer a carpool program?
Texas State supports carpooling by providing carpool parking spaces in 3 on campus parking lots. They are located in the James Street Lot (CP12), the Matthews St Garage (CP113), and The Sessom Lot (CP5). The vehicle used in this program must purchase and display a standard non-residential Texas State parking permit (red, purple, commuter green) and display a carpool permit. Does Texas State offer swimming lessons?
Yes, swimming lessons are offered through the Department of Campus Recreation. They have one-on-one lessons, adult group lessons, and youth group lessons. They also offer American Red Cross classes. For more information, visit http://www.campusrecreation.txstate.edu/Aquatics-and-Safety.html
